April Recap

April was a very busy month with a lot of different jobs.

I replaced quite a few bathroom vanity faucets and drains, along with vanity lights, to update and refresh bathrooms. I also swapped out a couple of ceiling fans, outlets, and switches as part of some updates.

I was able to help bring some sanity back by completing a couple of toilet rebuilds and a bathroom drain replacement so the toilets are now flushing properly and no longer running. The bathroom sink is also now usable without leaking.

I repaired several drywall patches after new electrical and wiring were run, replaced a range hood, and tiled a feature wall in a master bathroom for a repeat customer.

On the personal and business side, I’ve started working with a bookkeeping service. As a one-man operation, I’ve realized how much time everything takes, and this will help free up some time for both my business and my family.

Before the busy month kicked off, my family and I, along with some friends, went camping at Lawson’s Landing on the coast over spring break and celebrated Easter there. It was a few days full of cornhole, crabbing, oyster eating, and overall great quality time with family and friends—much needed before a very busy stretch.

On the personal side, April was full of youth sports. My son Joe wrestled at Reno Worlds, a large youth wrestling tournament, and we got to spend some great quality time together. My daughters, Emma and Ellie, also started AAU basketball, so Friday nights have been busy with games, with my wife and I splitting duties between locations.

I’m grateful for a busy and productive month and look forward to seeing what May brings—especially with it being my birthday month.
